The Opportunity

The IT Support Specialist is a Melbourne based role reporting to the Head of IT – Oceania.  The role is to provide I.T. support to the office and warehouse locations, general troubleshooting and ability to think on your feet to solutions for a wide array of technical problems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 technical support for hardware, software/application, and network issues by diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Respond promptly to incidents, manage ticket queues, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved according to SLAs, minimizing impact on business operations
  • Assist users with technical issues by providing clear and helpful guidance, ensuring excellent customer service and high user satisfaction
  • Maintain detailed documentation of support activities and changes
  • Work closely with other IT team members, departments, and vendors to coordinate support efforts, share knowledge, and implement improvements
  • Provide first-level support during software and hardware rollouts, including setup, installation, and basic troubleshooting
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance technical skills and improve support processes

 

Technical Skills

  • Relevant IT qualifications
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • High level of attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Basic network support
  • Windows and iOS operating systems support skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge to be able to assist users
  • ITIL principles knowledge is a plus
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
